On a machine without a browser, such as a server you reach over SSH, the Enlivy CLI signs in with a short code. You enter the code on your phone or laptop, and the machine is signed in as you.
This guide explains how to sign in this way.
Start the sign in
On the machine, run:
enlivy auth login --no-browser
The CLI shows a code and where to enter it:
Open https://identity.enlivy.com/device on any device, sign in, and enter the code BCDF-GHJK.
Leave the terminal open. It waits for you.
Enter the code
On your phone or laptop, open identity.enlivy.com/device and sign in to Enlivy.
Type the code exactly as the terminal shows it, then press Continue.
Continue only if you started this sign in yourself. Never enter a code someone sent you by email, chat or phone: it would let their machine act as you.
Allow the CLI
Choose the organizations the CLI may work in, then press Allow.
Go back to the terminal
The page confirms that your device is connected.
Within a few seconds, the terminal says you are signed in:
Signed in to https://api.enlivy.com as Jane Doe <jane@example.com>.
Good to know
- The code works for ten minutes. If it expires, run the command again for a new one.
- The machine stays signed in while you use it. To sign it out, run
enlivy auth logoutthere, or disconnect the Enlivy CLI from your Enlivy account, under Connected apps.
