The Configure Actions feature in Enlivy allows you to customize which actions appear directly in the user interface for a specific entity (such as Invoices, Reports, Playbooks, Guidelines, Users and many more).

Instead of always using the ⋮ three-dot menu, you can expand certain actions and display them as quick-access buttons: making your workflow faster and more intuitive.

What Are Actions?

Actions represent the operations you can perform on an entity. These can include common operations such as:

  • View – Open an item and see its details.
  • Edit – Modify the item.
  • Reuse – Duplicate or use an existing item as a base.
  • Delete – Remove the item from the system.
  • Download – Export or retrieve a copy of the item (such as a report, invoice, or document) in a usable format.

Each entity in Enlivy (e.g., invoices, reports, users) can have its own set of actions. By default, most of these actions are accessible from the ⋮ three-dot menu in the table view.

Expanded Actions

When you enable an action as Expanded, that action will appear as a dedicated button in its feature dashboard (main table), visible alongside each item.

  • This eliminates extra clicks.
  • Frequently used actions become instantly accessible.
  • You decide which actions are worth expanding.

How to Configure Actions

  1. Navigate to the Entity Dashboard
    • Example: Go to Reports from the left-side menu.
  2. Open the Configure Actions Panel
    • Click the ⚙ cogwheel button in the top-right corner.
    • Select Configure Actions.
  3. Select Actions to Expand
    • A list of available actions is displayed.
    • Use the Expanded checkbox to enable quick-access buttons for the actions you want.
  4. Save Changes
    • Once you’ve made your selections, click Save.
    • Your chosen actions will now appear directly in the table view.

Example: Reports Dashboard

Let’s walk through an example with the Reports Dashboard.

Default View

When you open the Reports Dashboard, the table includes:

  • Locale
  • User
  • Reported At
  • Report Schema
  • Created At
  • ⋮ (Actions menu)

  • View
  • Edit
  • Reuse
  • Delete

Configuring Actions

  1. Click the ⚙ cogwheel button and select Configure Actions.
  2. In the configuration panel, you’ll see the actions available for reports:
    • View
    • Edit
    • Reuse
    • Delete
  3. Tick the Expanded checkbox for the actions you use most often.
    • For example: View, Edit, and Reuse.
  4. Save your configuration.

Updated View

After saving, the selected actions appear as buttons directly after the Created At column in the table.
